Beyonce Signs Global Administration Deal With Warner/Chappell Publishing

Just days after her husband Jay-Z inked a deal with Warner/Chappell Publishing, Beyonce has done the same.

Effective immediately, Warner/Chappell will administer the 17-time Grammy winner’s future songwriting, including her next studio album according to Billboard.

It’s an honor to join Warner/Chappell Music and to continue working with my friend Jon Platt,” Beyonce said in the Warner/Chappell announcement release. “I trust his vision and admire his professionalism, and I look forward to our partnership.”

“I am always inspired by her drive, her creative vision and the breadth of her talents as a songwriter, performer and artist,” stated Platt of Beyonce. “Everyone at Warner/Chappell is honored to have the opportunity to serve this ground-breaking superstar as she continues to evolve, growing her incredible catalog of songs and producing some truly extraordinary new music.”

Platt and Beyonce have a long history of working together. He signed her during his tenure as president of North America creative for EMI Music Publishing. Platt joined Warner/Chappell last September as president of creative, North America.

Warner/Chappell now boasts an impressive list of clients that includes Beyonce, Jay-Z, Mike Will Made It, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, fun., Green Day, Muse, Wayne Hector, Brantley Gilbert, Grouplove and Miramax’s film music catalog.
