Amy Winehouse Joins The Sad "27 Club." Her Mom Says Her Death Was "Only A Matter Of Time"

As new details surrounding the death of Amy Winehouse emerge, her mom is speaking out about the last conversation she had with her daughter.
Janis Winehouse told The Daily Mirror that Amy's death "seemed only a matter of time."
“She seemed out of it," Janis said of her visit with Amy just a day before she passed. "But her passing so suddenly still hasn’t hit me."
Although police are saying her death is so far "unexplained," friends say the five time Grammy winner had been on an ecstacy and alcohol binge for a week leading up to her death.
Winehouse joins the very sad "27 Club" of entertainers who partied hard and died at the age of 27 (see list below).
BRIAN JONES
The guitarist and founder member of the Rolling Stones was found dead at the bottom of a Sussex swimming pool on July 2, 1969. Alcohol and drugs were found in his system. The coroner reported death by misadventure.
JIMI HENDRIX
The legendary electric guitarist collapsed at a party in London on September 18, 1970, and later died of suffocation brought on by a barbiturate overdose.
JANIS JOPLIN
The American folk singer died of a heroin overdose, possibly combined with the effects of alcohol. She was found in her Hollywood apartment on October 4, 1970.
JIM MORRISON
A prolific drug-taker, The Doors’ frontman died of heart failure while taking a bath in his Paris apartment on July 3, 1971. The previous day, he had complained of regurgitating blood. His death certificate states he died of “natural causes”.
KURT COBAIN
The troubled lead-singer of American grunge rock band Nirvana shot himself in the room above his garage in his Seattle home on April 8, 1994. The previous month, he had survived a drug and alcohol-induced coma.
RICHEY EDWARDS
The lead guitarist of Welsh band Manic Street Preachers disappeared in December 1995, prior to the band’s tour of America. His body was never found, but he was officially presumed dead in 2008.
AMY WINEHOUSE
The five time Grammy winner struggled for years with drug and alcohol abuse. She was found dead July 23, 2011. Police have not yet determined how she died.

It's sad she died but no one gave a f*** about her until they found her dead so people just want a reason to feel sad for someone I liked her a little but we didn't hear from her for almost 4 years and now we should be sad she overdosed in all she pretty much killed herself and it sucks that she was so young

It's crazy how we show more attention to news like this instead of positive things. Yes it is sad that her family had to put up with her and her selfishness of using drugs.... I feel more for her family because as a hard working man that support his family I can't feel bad for these junkies that destroy they life and they have more than enough money to get the best help ever. 1 album changed her family life and hers but she chose to take care of the dope man instead of her family....Sorry but all of them junkies that OD get no luv or support from me. If you go post sumn atleast post her doing charity work...which I never seen....Sorry for the negative post but she didn't die from a accident she killed herself and Its nothing worst than killing yoself and leaving family to mourn for you..sometimes mourning you make ppl get on drugs or drink cause they feel like they didnt try and help the selfish junkie enough

I was one of the 10 winners in the “Lloyd Banks – Play with it, facebook competition”. None of us have received our prices. Not even a message has any of us received. Now it’s been almost a year since the competition took place.
It’s not the fact I don’t get the CD for free I am sad about, I bought the album the first day anyway. It’s the fact you guys fool your fans. Me, for example, I’ve been a loyal fan of Lloyd Banks and G-Unit since the mixtape days.
I don’t know why you did this, maybe the free marketing. I think it’s very cheap to do this to your fans.
I hope anyone responsible for the competition read this and take action, thank you.
Sorry I have to spam but I don’t know what else to do.
