Actor Michael K. Williams From 'The Wire' & 'Boardwalk Empire' To Play Ol' Dirty B*stard In New Film

A biopic about troubled Wu Tang Clan member Ol' Dirty B*stard has landed a top notch actor for the leading role according to Entertainment Weekly.

Michael K. Williams, who played deadly stick up man Omar in The Wire and Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire will portray the rapper in the movie Dirty White Boy.

The flick will center around the relationship between ODB and Jarred Weisfeld, "a 22-year-old VH1 production assistant who through a lot of hustle (and the occasional lie) talked his way into becoming the rapper’s manager when Jones was serving a three-year stint in prison in the early 2000s"

Weisfeld was instrumental in ODB's comeback when he was released from prison in May 2003 and signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. Unfortunately he died from a drug overdose in 2004 at age 35 before the comeback fully materialized.

Dirty White Boy is being produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy.

Michael K. Williams is a f*****' AWESOME actor. I can't wait to see this. If anybody can adequately play ODB in a big time movie biopic, it's Michael K. Williams. "OMAR COMIN!"
