Television viewers were left stunned when the savage beating of truck driver Reginald Denny hit the airwaves shortly after the rioting began on April 29,1992.
''April 29th brought power to the people, and they just might see a sequel''----Ice Cube 'Wicked'
The L.A riots of 1992 are embedded in my mind almost as clearly here 20 years later as they were when they were actually happening.
For so many people, myself included, the idea of such large scale violence taking place on the streets in this country never crossed their minds.

Outrage at the not guilty verdicts handed down to 4 White police officers even though their brutal assault of Rodney King was videotaped ignited the violence.
The Rodney King beating was one of the first times we could witness first hand the brutal manner in which many police carried themselves at what could be considered routine traffic stops.
The rioting lasted for almost 6 days leaving 53 people dead and thousands more were injured as well as over a billion dollars in property damage.
Below are plenty of videos to check out. Some of you may be very familiar with this time in history while others may want to get familiar.
