R.I.P. BET Awards
Tuesday night’s ratings was the smallest in the BET franchise’s eight-year run since 2004.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Clifford Harris aka T.I. was not invited to attend the awards this year even though he’s in LA filming his MTV reality series. We can speculate as to the reason why. If you recall, T.I. was arrested the day of the BET Hip Hop awards last October in Atlanta.
There are also grumblings about the sentence handed down by the feds to Jacob Arabo aka Jacob The Jeweler, this week. Arabo was given a 30-month sentence in Club Fed for lying to federal investigators about his financial dealings with the BMF crime family. He is to begin serving his sentence on January 15, 2009 - the same month T.I. is required to start serving his 9 months for gun collecting.
The difference between the two sentences is that T.I. cooperated with the feds while Arabo lied his ass off to protect himself. A 5-time felon can have 50 guns in his arsenal, but it’s a totally different ball game when you mess around with Uncle Sam’s money.

this year was the worst by far. Nobody was really there to gettheir award. I wanted to see the Dream, Kanye needs to but that voice box mic down, Usher needs to hang up his dancen shoes, that was the worst opening act ever. Al Green and Chris Brown w/ Ciara killed it but they were not enough to save the show. i mean i love lil wayne n have been to 3 of his concerts but he just does not put on a show,he is a rapper n that is all he does so he was a bad idea as a show closer BET just jumped of the Wayne bandwagon without thinking it therw. T-Pain should have been the closer cuz despite everyone haten he PUT ON A REAL NICE SHO, lil he was in concert with props n other rappers coming on stage. Oh yeah Luda and Maxwell were good too. & can somebody please tell Keyshia Cole to stop wearing all that damn white every time she on BET. ... her mom is still smoken them rocks. lol

Personally I thought that the show was pretty cool. I totally don't understand why was 50 cent was not there. He has sold more albums than half of the artist who even performed!!!!

Yeah tha bet awards is WAY 2 hyped up. As far as ti goes, once they said he was only doing a year i figured tha was fishy. N they didnt mention nothing bout 50. Thats crazy.
