50 Cent Talks 'Street King Immortal' With Revolt TV

Via Revolt TV

50 Cent is restoring that feeling again.

Between reassembling the mighty G-Unit and releasing his first album in five years, 50 is far more relevant now than he was a year ago. And that’s no slight.  As if his epic Summer Jam performance wasn’t proof enough, then it’s the wild takeover that he and his G-Unit familia have triumphantly embarked on, spawning three high powered remixes with plans for new music. He’s back and these next coming months will prove whether or not he’s better than ever.

New G-Unit Album? Sure, Why Not

His latest album, Animal Amibtion, isn’t even a month old and the rap mogul already has plans to “1998 DMX” the rap game with his much anticipated next release, Street King Immortal. On Monday, 50 revealed to Hot 93 in Connecticut that the album would arrive on September 16th. Though details about the long-gestating LP has been discreet, the “Hold On” rapper happened to actually describe the feel of the new record to REVOLT, calling it his most “personal” project.

50 Cent Details His 'Animal Ambition'

Street King Immortal is a more personal project for me,” he says. “I’ve offered some of the pieces [in rhymes] to strengthen up over the way, like ‘coming up I was confused, my momma kissing a girl’ [on “Hate It Or Love It”] and some of those pieces were placed there so if someone had this information then it would already be desensitized.”

Where Animal Ambition was filled with his signature aggressive content, SKI sounds like it’s the real secret weapon of his that will prove he’s better than ever. Either that or the new G-Unit LP.

His most 'personal' project ever, huh? I like that. It means we have a lot of new topics to listen to from 50. I'm excited.

Nobody taught of the lyrics in Hate It Or Love It that way when it came out, except for 50 and some of his close associates maybe. It was just a great song.

It's good when men express their feelings....even tho they never like to. It helps the younger guys too--by showing them it's ok. Stifled feelings always lead to bad things...either sadness (depression) or anger (acting out). Best to expesss...by any means you can: music, writing, art.....there's an old saying; cant remember. something about the greatest strength is softness...or something. Harness will make you break. Softness bends in the wind.

This is what he needs, more personal songs not just lines, the emotions of losses not just the promotion of wins. GRODT had two sides of the coin, one side " street aggression and winning"/the other side "personal and vulnerability"
Pac & Em - maneuvered through their emotions without losing credibility, 50 once did a masterpiece of a job with GRODT
His last 3 albums has only been " aggression and winning"
