Of course jail is a very bad place to be and something to avoid BUT it is a reality for many and many that we love. My baby brother is doing a 10 with a 3 (he was innocent but took a plea :)) and I can relate to this. So for the past 2 and 1/2 years, I've been in a prison at least twice a month. Thank God he just got to the halfway house. I am so tired of going to locked down facilities. I've also been a teacher in juvenile detention centers in both Brick City and NYC. So this is what some of us have to deal with on a regular. One note on the visuals - can dudes wear du-rags in some prisons/jails? Not here in NJ - maybe in county but definitely not state. Anyways - this is what hip hop is about - a reflection of how we living. And sometimes we need to see the bad so that we can have in front of us what we need to think about, deal with, or change. "God's favorites have a hard time..." Ain't that the truth. He does that so that we can become overcomers and super strong. I done been through some s*** but now I it all puts a big, grape Kool-Aid smile on my face because I survived it. I really be tripping that I overcame everything - despite it all. God is good!! And my brother is doing really well too. I almost think God took him off the streets to protect him. Praise God! God's really a seamstress that tailor-fitted my pain so that I could become His absolute best. That's why I got His Scriptures in my brain. I feel like I'm a princess warrior and God gave me the strength and wisdom to slay everyone and everything that comes against me. That's how dudes got to look at things. Use the hard times to make you stronger, don't waste them. Get your endurance up. I would always teach my students that they needed to be soldiers and that they need to be prepared for all types of battles, especially mental ones. Imagine if we all used our pain, suffering and frustrations the way God intended. You know how strong we'd be. The Word tells us to boast in our suffering because suffering produces endurance, perseverance and character. And that's the TRUTH. 50 really be knowing what's up. Although the goal is to master everything and transcend all walks of life and social circles, some of us are here to rep the hood no matter what. I have always had friends and associates from all socio-economic backgrounds but I rep the hood no matter what. And for those who don't know - repping the hood does not mean being ghetto and ignorant. It's about showing them what we made of. It's about being the best because our struggles done taught us that we can conquer any and everything. And I have always said - It's not and never been about being on top of the hood. It's about being from the hood but still making it to the top of the world. It's about showing them that they may deal you some foul cards but you still gonna win and be on top. If they only knew!

if you been in jails or you from tha street, you love to see shet like dis...not dat jail a good thing, but iss a part of life errybody got people on tha insides!!
if you got neggaz on tha inside, make sure you support them cos a lotta fake neggaz dont even write when you get locked then they phone numba all ah sudden change!!

video enhanced tha song...shet is right!! good visuals...i love fuggin betchez while they dude locked behind tha wall...i go to rikers island to visit my pops and my dude on a murrda 1 charge all tha buss it babies be dressed up like hood rat models...soon as we waitin to get on tha bus back to tha control buildin, im baggin at lease 4 numbaz!! and they go to tha visit tellin they negga how much they love duke...but then then givin me all they twot muffin!!
