50 Cent Makes an Appearance as a Presenter for 'CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute'

Sunday night in the Shrine Auditorium of LA, CNN carried on their six year tradition of honoring the selfless with the live awards show "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute."

Among the celebrities, 50 Cent was in attendance to present an award to one of this years top ten CNN Heroes. See his tweets on the event below.

While introducing the heavyweight rapper to the stage, host Anderson Cooper acknowledged 50 Cent's heroic goal of feeding one billion people in Africa with his proceeds from his Street King (SK) Energy Drink.

See 50 Cent Speak On His Contributions at Last Year's CNN Heroes:

Before giving the award to Thulani Madondo of Kiptown, South Africa, Fif stressed the difficulty of starting from the bottom and how it can be hard to dream of something better with so little.

With low resources, Madondo was capable of making the dream of having an impact on his society a reality.

In a town of 35,000, Madondo founded the Kiptown Youth Program, an organization that provides 400 children of the community with school uniforms, tutoring, meals, and activities.

Although they may be poor in material wealth, Madondo wanted to make sure the children felt rich on the inside.

After 50 Cent graced him with the award, Madondo left the audience with his motto he tells the Kiptown children, "Pull up your own socks."

Each hero was grated $50,000 to continue their civic duties. An additional $250,000 was rewarded to the CNN Hero of the Year.
