U look at the Beatles or Rolling Stones or MoTown artists, they be dropping singles every month, two full length records a year...
What 50 needs to do is just start dropping Itunes/Amazon singles to find out where the mass market is at. The best formula is the old formula: one to two singles a month. That's old school as it gets, yet it works.
You look at the way Rihanna, Wayne, Drake, even Rick Ross do it, And that's where 50 has f***** up. The mixtapes are great, but just that, mixtapes, people are not hearing it. Singles for $$$$ make the people pay attention. For free, and they missing. I know big fans of YOung Jeezy that have no idea he has released a mixtape, etc. Mixtapes only hit a certain percent of the hardcore fan base.
A lot of 50 fans have no idea about BIG TEN, LOST TAPES, FIVE; they don't know. They ain't looking unless they gotta pay. They wanna pay.
U look at CURTIS and what 50 did, he dropped single after single. He had two that hit AYO and I GET MONEY and then dropped.
Look at Before I Self Destruct and he never had a single that NEVER took off and he dropped the album and looked what happened!! Plus the cover was wack, like this Immortal cover.
