America has seen a rash of mass shootings in places such as Newtown, Connecticut, Aurora, California, Virginia Tech, the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and Columbine High School.
Celebrities across the country like Carmelo Anthony, Beyonce, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Aniston, Conan O'Brien, Sarah Silverman, Olivia Munn and more have teamed up with http://www.demandaplan.org/ seeking a change in America's gun policies.
Tt’s time. Join more than 750 mayors and 750,000 grassroots supporters to demand that President Obama and Congress step forward with a plan to end gun violence.
Our efforts cannot bring back the 20 innocent children murdered in Newtown, CT -- or the 34 people murdered with guns every day in America. But we can prevent future tragedies by passing common sense legislation that will:
1. Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America
2. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
3. Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers”

I'm sorry--but if you think a gun will protect you the gvt, and sundry others...you are living in the past. At one time, yeah. But now?....They can make you have a heart attack or a brain anuerism, and they don't even have to be anywhere near you! Anything we see--they are 50 yrs ahead.Then there's poison, drugs, chemicals, etc.Besides, who do you think put those guns there in the 1st place? Same ones who gave the world crack cocaine.Ehh, I think they like everyone having guns. That way--they don't have to kill people off---they will do it to each other.Violence begets violence.
