Chad Johnson's ex-college sweetheart whom he was convicted of slapping in 2000 wants to sit down with his estranged wife Evelyn Lozada according to TMZ.

According to the report, the ex thinks she and Lozada can help each other find closure. The former girlfriend has tried to reach out to Lozada via Twitter and Facebook, but so far hasn't had any luck contacting her. 

The former girlfriend may be having trouble reaching Lozada because TMZ is reporting that Chad's wife has gone into hiding. Pulling the plug on all public appearances.

In 2000 Johnson slapped his then girlfriend when he accused her of cheating on him. He pleaded no contest and the court found him guilty of domestic battery. 

He was sentenced to three years probation, ordered to complete 30 days of graffiti removal work with CalTrans and was required to complete a 12 month batterer's counseling program and ordered to stay 100 yards away from the victim.

A status report issued at the time Chad was cooperative and appeared to make good progress, but "struggled initially with accepting the need to make lifestyle changes as well as minimizing his past behavior."

The report says Chad eventually came to terms with his problems -- and his "risk to re-offend appears low."

Radaronline reports that Chad is desperately trying win his wife back, but it's not working.

"Chad has been tearfully calling and texting Ev, pouring his heart out to her and telling how sorry he is and how he has never loved anyone before as he loves her. But, it's just too little too late.

 

"Evelyn will not tolerate being cheated on and being physically attacked and she has washed her hands of Chad for good. She was desperately in love with him and ignored a lot of warning signs along the way, but now that she has finally woken up, she will not be taking any steps back and will not go back to him.

 

"Despite Chad's pleas for a second chance and his assurances that he will undergo counseling, Ev is sticking to her guns. It is over between her and Chad. For good. Period."

One of the women Chad was reportedly cheating on Lozada with was Beverly Shiner (pictured below).

According to Shiner she met Chad on Twitter and proceeded to have a four month affair with the ex-NFL player despite knowing he was engaged.

Shiner says Johnson did little to hide the fact that he was having an affair. Claiming he texted her once while he watched the Super Bowl with Evelyn and his kids to tell her that he missed her.

The affair finally came to a head in the beginning of May, Shiner claims, when after spending a passionate night together, Beverly was heading back over and he didn't reply to her texts or calls.

"He had asked me to come over so I drove there and knocked on his door and he didn’t answer even though I could hear his X Box playing. Then I texted him the next day and he didn’t apologize," she told Radar.

 

"I got upset and told him, 'You are not the guy I thought you were,’ to which he replied that he had been sleeping and warned me, 'You’re overstepping your boundaries a little bit. I’m not your man, keep your comments to yourself.’"
