The Jay-Z and Nas beef has long been put to rest, but in the summer of 2002 it was in full swing. Nas planned to lynch Hov on the Summer Jam stage that year. Hot 97 wouldn't approve the act and ultimately Nas refused to perform.

Yall some fools(ignorant fools) agreeing with any act like this. The beef was strictly hip hop but someone's feelings got hurt. And they get cry baby made wanting to lynch a dummy instead of the real thing and because hot 97 said no they cry boo ooh and didn't perform.
