"It is what it is...Lil Wayne's Pusha T Dis Like Swatting 'A Gnat'...You can keep flyin, just fly somewhere else, though. We chillin" Mack Maine tells MTV News of 'Goulish,' downplaying beef.

Lil Wayne knows who his friends are. On Friday (June 1), Weezy releases the first single from his upcoming I Am Not a Human Being 2 album, "My Homies Still" with Big Sean. And even though Tunechi took a direct shot at Sean's G.O.O.D. Music comrade Pusha T, there will be no crew-wide beef.
"It's not like that. I don't see it like that. That's not what we in the game for," Young Money president Mack Maine told MTV News of a potential G.O.O.D./YMCMB dustup. "If it ever came to that, God forbid, that's a whole different story, but right now we're just tryin' to get paper, we're just tryin' to get money, man, and make good music. And that was a great song that was made before that situation happened, and I'm not 'bout to go into the studio and tell Wayne to take [Big Sean] off. Wayne not tryna take him off — he's good peeps, he's fam."
G.O.O.D.'s Kid Cudi did appear to take a side last Thursday, however, when he tweeted, "I love my n---a Pusha T, f--- anybody who feel different. We aint ho's out here," in response to Wayne's diss. But there has been no talk of the beef since. Regardless of any controversy, the Young Money president is pretty pumped for Weezy's new track, which he says was recorded before Tune dropped "Goulish," the diss track that came in response to Pusha T's "Exodus 23:1."
"It's crazy — I can't front. Unbiased opinion: It's crazy. I hope the world feels the same," Mack said before commending Big Sean for his recent guest appearances with G.O.O.D. Music, Meek Mill, Chris Brown and now Weezy. "He killed it. I think that's big for him. We're always collabin' with people and he earned it, he earned his way. He's been handling his weight on different tracks, and it's his time."
So what about "Goulish"? "In a nutshell, if a gnat or a fly keep flyin' around you, eventually you gonna swing and swat it and just get it out the way," Mack said, using an analogy in which Pusha would play the insect. "Sometimes you swat it and the gnat dies; sometimes it just go away. ... You can keep flyin', just fly somewhere else, though. We chillin'."
