Forgot to mention...Ad Rock discovering LL in Rick's dorm and making the beat to "I need a beat"...both PRE-License era, not to mention the many Post-License era things...is enough to me to be considered an integral part of the culture.
Now i'm gonna go try and re-learn the Graditute bassline. MCA's many basslines alone are enough for legendary status.

1Thug, i'm sure there was a point in MC Lyte's life when she discovered Hip-Hop. Why would that not also be jumping on a bandwagon or Pac when he became Gangsta Rap? Cause they're black and were slightly poorer?

Where do you get your info on me from? Non violence, when did I state that? It's obvious you didn't read my post.I'm done, your just an ignorant, homophobic child, throwing around insults hoping to get a laugh. Your not trying to have a debate, you just wanna snap & take so called personal jabs. Your a joke & to continue I would be playing myself . Have a good one

Ok cool. Yeh, rebel is the word I was looking for. When you look at it, Dr Dre, Jermaine Dupri, Ice Cube, Kanye West.. all those guys seemed to only found a rebellious spirit after they got into the game and felt validated. Added to that, they were now in the company of an entourage populated with free spirited individuals, that a lot of their secondary personality traits is basically learned behaviour.

Oh and Hip-Hop is a form of rock. most specifically, it's the closest thing to punk. And if a Hip Hop DJ plays a Pop record or even a heavy metal record...guess what? It's STILL HIP-HOP. Ask Afrika Bambatta. 1Thug, you need to have a sit down with Chuck D. ;)

If you say you for nonviolence then use violence to defend...that is HYPOCRASY!! If you for nonviolence then you cant use it under any circumstance

So accordin to db he could take d!ck in his butt and still be strate!! We talkin about wuss real...pac was not a thug, but his essence was to be a rebel. He juss expressed it in thuggish behavior. From being reared by black panthaz you got no choice but to have a rebellious mind, but pac wasnt a thug. That part of him i could see through...pac was nice kind dude at heart...i met him wit khalil cain so i feel i could speak on that. Tha thug life was part of his plan but he really wasnt that.

Also, starting the arguement from the perspective of, "Well, they didn't start out in the culture" is so pointless. Most everyone in the culture has to have a starting point. The things added to the culture SINCE the License era cannot be disputed. All the DJ's, from the cats at Delicious Vinyl, Hurra, Mixmaster Mike....putting Public Enemy and the Roots on their first tours. Grand Royal Records and Magazine. I've said it for years, they're always about 10 years ahead of MANY things that become the norm in Hip-Hop. It's something that people not familiar with their post-License work are aware.
