Also, starting the arguement from the perspective of, "Well, they didn't start out in the culture" is so pointless. Most everyone in the culture has to have a starting point. The things added to the culture SINCE the License era cannot be disputed. All the DJ's, from the cats at Delicious Vinyl, Hurra, Mixmaster Mike....putting Public Enemy and the Roots on their first tours. Grand Royal Records and Magazine. I've said it for years, they're always about 10 years ahead of MANY things that become the norm in Hip-Hop. It's something that people not familiar with their post-License work are aware.

Man, people still argue the whole genre thing? Hip-Hop was ghetto punk rock so it was only obvious that downtown hardcore kids would gravitate to it. These kind of aruguements are like the ones about not being authentic unless you come from poverty. I guess De La Soul aren't Hip-Hop.

Your post on this forum & all the others shows how ignorant you are. You always call people homosexuals or something to that effect, & you called me ignorant for having a different point of view from yours. I didn't lie about anything & you don't know me to call me a coward, or someone who bob's for dicks. Once again,all I did was point out the facts concerning you. Not all,but most of your post & comments on this is 50 are Juvenile at best, & you can't spell to save your life. Finally, there is a difference in someone walking up to someone they don't know & punching them in the face. And that person who just got hit, knocking that person out . @ 1 thug, your right. I wouldn't even compare them to Rakim, Kris, big, or pac. But they help expose the culture to people who never would have listened to hiphop. Like I said, i'm not saying there the best or are in the top 3,hell nah.But they did allot as far as exposing hip hop to people who never would have listened which helped build the brand.
