50 Cent Speaks On The Comparisons Between Floyd Mayweather Jr. & Muhammad Ali, His Upcoming Album, Boxing Background & More [Video]

While out in Las Vegas lending support to Floyd Mayweather Jr. for his upcoming fight with Miguel Cotto, 50 Cent took some time out to talk with Elie Seckbach and a group of boxing reporters about a variety of subjects.

50 confirmed that his fifth studio album will be released in July, talked about his amateur boxing background and answered the often asked question regarding comparisons between Floyd and Muhammad Ali.

"I think {Floyd] is the equivalent to Ali," 50 said. "I think he is the Ali of our time, our generation. The difference is the actual messaging points. In that period Ali was a part of a movement that was a huge movement that socially made him someone different. They responded to him differently because he was willing to stand up for that in that time period. Without those issues going on it's pretty tough for you to be anywhere near in comparison to him," 50 added. "Hip hop culture is now pop culture, it's so broad. If you watch how many of the artists and people... how relevant [Floyd] is to that it says how big he is to the sport. He actually is boxing right now."

50 also talks about how he and Floyd became friends.

Ali: "What'd the Vietnamese ever do to me?" I miss that time....people cared. Now it's all about money. No offense to anyone, but --something is missing that used to be here. We need to get it back.

Statement to Edwin "Phade" Sacasa from Women Inventors of Hip HopEven though my Hip Hop brothers address me as Trick, W****, Stunt and Bytch I still am required to love and defend them in public because that's what a Black sister, a Queen was raised to do.While my original mobile DJs and MCs, 5%ers and Zulus are trying to holla at this genius, they yell Queen because that's what the God was raised to do.So when a self-proclaimed Shirt Queen like me reaches from the right coast at Shirt Queens…See More

Povi - Cold Like Minnesota (Official Video)

Colorado is quite a cold place, and R n B soulstress Povi, who replaces the carefree rap of LIL YACHTY on "Cold LIke Minnesota" with a reminiscent vibe of Aaliyah, creates the perfect party anthem for your end of the summer 16' BBQ. Povi's last internet splash was with ILoveMakonnen via super producer Christian Rich and Red Bull…See More
