Diggy Simmons Speaks On Low Sales Of His Debut Album 'Unexpected Arrival' [Video]
Diggy Simmons' debut album moved 21,000 copies it's first week out to land at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. Not a failure considering the slugging market for album sales, but not quite what the newcomer had hoped to sell.
Karen Civil recently caught up with Diggy to address his album and the 17-year old had a refreshing, mature attitude about it.
"It’s about growth. You look at a whole bunch of people. Look at Reasonable Doubt, when that first came out, that wasn’t anything. And look at Jay now. You could look at Bruno [Mars] recently. When Doo Wops & Hooligans came out, like 50,000 first work and ended up going double plat," he said. "It’s about growth for me. I’m happy that the people who are listening to it are loving it. It’s like having an impact on your life and making them want to aspire to be whatever it is they want to be. Because that’s what Unexpected Arrival is about, it’s about making your arrival in life special. No matter what people say or if they don’t know what you’re capable of. It starts with the belief in you before you try to go and look for other people’s approval. I’m happy that it’s doing that for people."

I can't believe the n**** is actually wondering why he ain't seeling albums. I didn't even know he had an album. Thats not even including the fact that he is wack as hell. I'm not a hater, just a fan of real hip-hop music. The only reason you even got a chance to make an album is cause your daddy. There's a million local mc's around the country that are 20 times nicer

This just goes to show that kids aren't buying records anymore. They're downloading the music for free. The only label selling records is Cash "we buy our own records" Money!!!!
