Birdman Says Cash Money Wants To Release 16 Albums In 2012. Speaks On Limp Bizkit Signing & Wanting To Expand Into Country & Gospel
Birdman obviously isn't worried about over-saturating the market because he wants to drop 16 albums under the YMCMB umbrella in 2012.
The ambitious goal was revealed to XXL during a recent interview. Stunna also said that after signing Limp Bizkit he's looking for more acts from different genres to sign.
“I think bringing Fred and Limp Bizkit to the team gives us a different look,” Birdman told XXL.com. “We dominate rap, but we’re also trying to grow in different areas; Pop, rock, gospel, country. We’re a brand and we don’t want to be categorized as one type of brand. I think we’re a machine and we activate and were active as a machine. I thought this Limp Bizkit move would be big for us as a brand and a machine.”
Limp Bizkit's first single drops next week and features Lil Wayne.

Diddy tried this with bad boy, Fred from Limp Bizkit tried this with Flawless Records (which had the full support of the interscope machine behind it), Jay Z tried it (and had the def jam machine behind it), Even Disney tried it with Hollywood Records and they have the ear of every tween on the planet. This model doesn't work. Their niche marketing fades when they attempt to globalize their product. Bigger labels have tried and failed and this part time rapper thinks he can make it happen? He may as well just give the cash away to someone now. If you don't know your history, you're gonna repeat it.

@JRScar not having limp bizcuit sell out at all Busta & limp got a song together not selling out at all & Wayne's album is certified gold so only a flop if you compare it to his other albums like carter 3 & 4
