Lyrically, Papoose would destroy Jay but album sales wise, Jay takes the cake(personally i don't think jay z has to buy his own records.. he's been known worldwide).

Some of the best lyricist make the most garbage music. It's kind of like how a lot of battle rappers can't write a good song to save their life. It has nothing to do with honor Papoose. I mean, speaking of Papoose, listen to "Bucket Naked", who was that song for? Who do you think he was trying to appeal to? What kind of lyricism was on that record? I think Cole said it best "Either you play the game, or watch the game play you, and be that broke m*********** talkin' bout I stayed true".

I'm sorry I heard a Papoose freestyle on Slay on sirius XM a week or two ago and that s*** blew my mind, gave me chills. I have never got that feeling from anything Jay-Z has done, and I like Jay-Z's music. Their are rappers that market better, apeal to the public more, but their is just raw mc's out there that have skills beyond sales that most of these mainstream rappers can't touch.

Great point money should not make j-z a winner in the hip hop game skills should really don't like the fact that since northern mc's has started saying things about southern mc's we don't see the underground artist from up north anymore DJ WHITEOWL is doing his thing making sure I still get all regions of music keep doing your thang paposse if you not the king of new york then you second to none homie and that from the menace 2 society you did a couple years back nice!
