Soulja Boy Says Baby Trying To Sign Him To Cash Money. Would You Like The Move?
Birdman is looking to add another potential superstar to his roster by attempting to sign Soulja Boy.Soulja told Rap-Up the two have already met face to face to face to discuss the possible move.
“I met with Baby and Slim down in Miami,” Soulja said. “He’s trying to get me to come over to Cash Money.”
It would be an interesting move for Soulja, who already has his own label, Stacks on Deck Entertainment. The allure of working with someone he has been a fan is compelling to Soulja though.
“I’ve been a fan of Cash Money since I was young. I’ve been listening to Birdman’s music since I was growing up. I would have never thought” Soulja added.
There is the issue of Soulja's contract with Interscope that would obviously have to be dealt with. The rapper owes them 2 more albums.
“I still got paperwork with Interscope Records, so I’m just trying to figure out what I’ma do. I got a lot of great options on the table,” he said.

jarrett is right here though....the music now days isn't designed to inspire or empower. It's about keeping you in a cage only to shake your a$$ when the song comes on and to avoid thinking. I am about to give up on hip hop. it's keeping kids stupid and there is more to live than big rims and watches. our people are heading down the toilet to this pathetic theme music and everyone continues to celebrate it mindlessly. the noose is being slipped around our necks quietly while we dance and no one is saying anything to stop it. It's clear that if you want your kids to drop out of school and end up with a 10 dollar an hour job that you should allow them to listen to the current crop of hip hop artists because they simply won't be empowered to change their life.
