DEF JAM...We have a Problem: Triple C's Only Manges To Sell 12,000 Copies [Is DJ Khaled Ruining the Def Jam Brand?]- Poll Inside
Just when you thought things couldn't get any worst for Def Jam...Out comes the HORRIFIC Triple C's debut album, "Custom Cars & Cycles." Triple C's managed to sell a whopping 12,000 copies of their debut album.
Def Jam might be re-thinking the whole idea of making DJ Khaled the President of Def Jam South. To date, DJ Khaled has released 2 Ace Hood albums in ONE year under the Def Jam imprint. Both of Ace Hood's albums combined didn't sell more than 30,000 units. This has never been seen in the entire history of Def Jam Recordings.
Not to mention DJ Khaled's instigating of the 50 Cent/ Rick Ross beef which in the end destroyed and severely hurt Officer Ricky's credibility. Also after spending $3 Million to promote his album, "Deeper Than Rap," Rick's sales did not refelect the $3 Million that was spent in marketing dollars. At what point does Def Jam draw the line and say ,'Enough is Enough?'

i never understood why def jam signed him in the beginning he an independent artist outside of that indenpent money he not making any money he lika a good NBDL player you dont just go to the Lakers if you the best NBDL player you go to a horrible team and build up if you go to the lakers theyll send yo as back down
like it sad he has sold more records when he was on Koch than he has sold with Major Lable Def Jam this is like Jim Jones getting that deal with Columbia its like nigga just because you big on a small label dont mean that you going to suceed with the biga becuz the bigs control your music tell what songs to put out what songs to not put out Koch let you choose your singles and all that and they giving you half becuz they dont spend that much on promotion all the majors have to offer is bigger advances but you have to pay that money back anyway
and what do triple C's have to do with khaled he not executive producer on here only thing isee the connection is that they all from Miami and this is another way of saying Miami is bad for Def Jam
I think DJ khaled is just another Lil Jon but sad to say Lil Jon was less annoying and he released better music and made more money and he did this with an independent label
