Drug Dealer Puts 911 Dispatcher On Hold While Trying To Sell Heroin
According to The Associated Press, 20-year-old Alejandro Melendez called 911 on Saturday night (January 31) claiming that two men with guns were watching him and hung up.
The dispatcher would call Melendez back and Melendez told the dispatcher to hold on but the dispatcher could still hear what was being said.
A recording of the call captured a voice saying "What you need? A 10-pack? You need a 10-pack? All right." According to police, "10-pack" is slang for a bundle of heroin.
The dispatcher called police who found Melendez at the location he gave. The police asked the dispatcher to call Melendez's cell phone which was on him along with cocaine in his pants.
Melendez was charged with cocaine possession.
