About Me

Africa formerly known as Gift was born in an enthralling village of Nigeria, West Africa. The stern atmosphere of her strongly connected neighborhood gave her stability with the world around her. Moreover, being raised by her grandparents gave her wisdom and strength, allowing her to understand her place in the world as well as how to sustain it wherever she went. By her early teens Africa was privileged to reunite with her mother; symbolically helping her to see the woman whom created her and giving herself assurance. Seemingly the reunion failed to end as such. Africa was placed in foster care, partially taking on the reality of raising herself in a country foreign to what she ever experienced. From the tussling and misplacement in New York City’s care she embraced her one ground point; getting a free education. Excelling as a Business/Management major she grasped skills of entrepreneurship and confidence in her craft that whatever she produced could and would sell. From there her creative spirit drove her to film school. Enhancing the innovative artist and sustaining the business women. Juxtapose to Africa’s schooling she was active in exposing her talents; simply continuing her participation in plays, cultural films, and other performances as she did when she was young. With School and mere shows just were not enough. Shortly as Hip-Hop lingered through the concrete streets of New York City it wrapped itself around her ears and ran straight for her heart. Expanding her talent and giving her a gift.
