Lady Ace (born Ahbrea Ross) is a rapper, songwriter, producer, artist, and actor. The native of Washington DC, has lived in Maryland most of her life. She began rapping at the age of eight. She had been in the music scene every since she was younger with her cousins performing around the DMV (Dc, Maryland, Va) area. Growing up in a single parent home in the streets of Md to Dc she was faced with a lot of things at a young age. Lady Ace found music as an outlet to get away from the harsh surroundings. With little money and a mother that was supportive, she began to learn to produce and started to build her own studio in her house. She would charge her friends and local artist for work they might need such as covers, beats, recording time, merchandise, etc... Being influenced by female rappers both old school and new school, she wrote constantly everyday to master her craft. Mostly encouraged by her mother, Lady Ace strives to be the best. "My mother tells me that as long as I stay focused and keep god first then anything is possible." Her mother is her main support system that was there through thick and thin. Known for her style and her unique flow she easily catches the attention of many. Clearly she is not your next Nicki Minaj or Lauryn Hill, but she truly stands in her own box as a up and coming female rapper. "I want to bring back the early Da Brat, Queen Latifah and TLC days back with the new age swag." said LadyAce. In 2009, she released her main cd, "Lady Ace Demo" which created a lot of hype for her first project. She began networking with local artist and linking up with people that could get her one step closer to the industry. As her buzz begin to increase she begin to do make events and get known more, she is on her independent grind.
