I am happy to give you tips to get your music known. A great (free) way to get started is to put music clips on different social sites and invite people to listen to them. Do you have a way for people to buy your music at this time? If so give them a link to your sales page and go ahead and ask them to buy some of it!
You can also offer your copyrighted music to social groups and non- profits to use as intro's for their programs. The agreement you want to make with them is that they can use a specific piece of your music as long as the advertise that it was your piece and suggest that they give all of their customer list a link to your music sales page.
Something else that I have seen done is a group put together a CD and took it to HSN (home Shopping Network) (don't laugh) it was so popular that HSN used it for their intros and introduced the group to millions of their customers.

His album was dope....Ambition was one of the best albums of the year. I liked Cole's album but I already heard half of the songs on the album. I expected all new material. T.I. is a better rapper but he has to drop the album.
