Coming from a musically inclined family, music always been apart of his life. As a child, he played instruments stemming from the piano to the drums. Growing up he had hard times making bad decisions leading to jail sentences but used his talent as a form of expression and inspiration.
At the age of 12 he started to write poems. While staying in East Orange, a neighborhood friend Known as Hump, suggested that Coleone begin to turn his poems into rhymes. Taking his advice, he incorporated his influences from Nas, Snoop, Mobb Deep, Ice Cube and Rakim, to develop his own style.
