“I’ve got MTD, Multi-Talented Disorder” a quote from one of the industry’s most prominent new artists “Yakie”.
Born in the “Windy City” Chicago, Zsakieya “Yakie” Harris holds a passion in music heavier than the definition of the word itself.
Most would describe this new comer as “driven” or a “force to be reckoned with” all simply based on phenomenal stage presence and an extreme balance of creativity and innovative flow.
Being able to compete with several contenders and crown 1st and 2nd place in numerous local talent shows is only a “baby step” towards a path of success in the near future.
Leave it for Yakie to say, “I can do it all”, which is proven in her recent independently released EP “The Champion”, which contains a perfect blend of R&B, Pop and Rap. Her “musical portraits” are paintings of real-life based situations of others and her own sending messages of love, pain and inspiration.
