Every since a young girl July has been fascinated with music and entertainment. She is musically inspired by 50 Cent, Lil Kim, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang, Mary J. Blige, T.L.C, Madonna and Missy Elliott to name a few. At the of 17, July decided that she wanted to pursue hip hop music & have an entertainment career, so she immediately began to record at various studios. In 2003 July performed in the B.E.T Black College Tour freestyle battle at Norfolk State University. In 2003 July tied with a male contestant in a freestyle battle at the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour at the Virginia Beach Ampetheater. On September 8, 2006 July rocked the mic in Z 104's 2nd Annual freestyle battle contest at the Chris Brown show where Neyo, Juelz Santana, & D.F.B were the judges who all voted for her to win the competition. In 2004, Ya Gyrl July also worked on the street team for Clear Channels radio station. July participated in voters registration with the Buddah Brothers from 103 Jamz going to each mall in the 7 Cities getting people registered to vote. July also participated in the 2008 voters registration for our President Barak Obama as well as the 2012 election!
In 2004 July started working with a marketing & promotions company by the name of Too Tight Productions/Street Ratts Promotions where she was an office assistant. Some of her tasks were to handle the record pool, do market reports on artists, plan itineraries for each artist when they come to the market for promo listening parties, concerts, radio promo & etc. July was responsible for getting all the radio & club DJ's all the new hot music for recording artist on various labels such as Universal Records, TVT Records, Virgin Records, J Records, Koch Records & Sony Records. In April of 2011 July along with her partners of Billionaire Barbie Club booked a show for Lloyd Banks in Virgina for a concert, And Ya Gyrl July was also the driver of Lloyd Banks. She opened up for Trina aka Diamond Princess In Virginia on Halloween 2010 and Lil Ru in Oct 2011. For Now performs her music in many states. July is very determined. July says her neice's and other young girls that look up to her keeps her motivated. From her music she will construct an prosperous empire for women and the youth.
