as you stated in your earlier comment, barack obama is now our president. let's not hope for "racial tensions". george w. bush just f***** everything up and drove our economy into a recession, serious debt, and a dumb war? you think obama will actually do worse than that? i believe that he has the required judgment and strong counsel to do well in light of the serious economic mess that he has inherited from the george w. bush administration. that is exactly why i cast my vote for him and joe biden. you see, the biggest responsibility of any good leader is to exercise good judgment. that is what obama will be judged on when all is said and done. his judgment in economic, domestic, and foreign policy. period. this is where the republicans have failed miserably-- making GOOD decisions. and if you think for ONE second that he would hesitate to drop a bomb on any nation or terrorist organization that possess a threat to our beloved nation, then you are dead wrong. do NOT let his diplomatic demeanor fool you-- he means business. this is a mess that would be a tall task for ANYONE who were elected president. president-elect obama knows this. he has already started out on a great foot by choosing some very brilliant and proven people on board his transition team and cabinet. those are just some of the components to what makes a successful administration. it will take time for obama to clean up this big mess and it is only fare that he is rendered the adequate time that he needs in order to do so before any of us can come to a reasonable assessment of his performance. be patient. let's watch and see...........

well, you're actually right. obama did have a high turn out of black voters on his behalf. however, he also had a very high white, latino, youth, and elderly turn out as well across the board. personally, i have nothing against mccain. i just agreed with more of obama's domestic and foreign policies than mccain's. in addition to that, mccain ran a horrible campaign, which is quite obvious and the republican party is admitting to it now all over the tv and radio. let me ask you a question. how do you manage a country if you can't choose correctly and run a respectable campaign? these are indications to a person's judgment. the guy chose very badly with his decision of sarah palin, only because he thought that she would win him more female votes. then, he "postpones" his campaign to "focus on the financial crisis in washington", though neither he or obama really had anything to do with any of the financial decision making in fixing it. that's really hilarious because he was actually WINNING in the polls up until that particular stunt. these are just a few of the stupid decisions that cost him the election and you have to take them into account. with that kind of decision making, what good does all of those years of "experience" in washington actually do for him...... or hillary? they both say that they have years of "experience" on capital hill, but they got beat by a much younger guy who played the political game much better than they did. therefore, as a thinking person, when i see that i wonder if whatever else they "say" about their ability to run this nation has any more credibility to it. yes, mccain has been on capital hill for over two decades. so has hillary clinton. but, he should have learned from the mistakes that she made during the primary. instead, he repeated them. those two clowns are like tom and jerry-- they not only lost in the elections, but they lost their respect. what you don't realize is that this election was about good judgment just as much as it was about the economy. that is why mccain lost the electoral college so badly. people who went to the polls went with the perception that the guy's judgment stinks based off of his ACTIONS. i don't give a f*** how much "experience" a person says they have if they can not make good decisions. that only goes to show that they will make those same dumb decisions in the white house like the current idiot who is still sleeping there. you say that blacks only voted for obama because he is black. well, you should also consider the fact that blacks did NOT support obama initially during the beginning of the primary season. they did not believe him. quite honestly, hillary had the majority of the black vote, as she and her husband always have historically. but, when she, like mccain, started running a nasty campaign, she alienated many blacks in the same fashion that mccain alienated many moderate republicans with picking that airhead b**** sarah palin. hilary f***** that up for herself. obama was the ONLY one who remained poised, consistent in demeanor, and judgment thru out the entire 2 and 1/2 year campaign. THAT is what the american people want and the american people have spoken very loudly on his behalf. it has nothing to do with his race, as you indicate. it's just that we need that kind of leadership. especially now. president obama exemplified it without a doubt. black people are very open-minded and do not decide just off of race. therefore, when you constantly spread the idea that black people, who make up just 12% of the american public, voted for obama "only because he is black", it should be pointed out to you that you are wrong. that type of falsehood is misleading and untrue based on the real facts.
