Inspired by the lack of substance that has found its way into our car stereos, homes, and streets, Vicious brings about a hugely welcome change. Born Jamal Mosiah Hoilett on April 2, 1982 to an American mother and a Jamaican father, Vicious is determined to bring back the essence of hip hop through a melodic flow of controversial topics delivered with raw emotion.
With nearly 15 years of experience writing, singing, performing and recording, this lyricist’s undeniable talent, versatility, charm and charisma has landed him performing at venues all across the world. He has opened for Guru, Bone Thugs and Common just to name a few, and has been a guest on radio stations across southern California such as Power 106, 100.3 The Beat, KPRS, KPFK, KJLH and a host of others.
Vicious creates musical masterpieces with an intricate style of delivery and heavily felt lyrics. He has released over 5 albums throughout his career, the first of which titled “Forbidden Fruit” released in 2003, a number of mixed tapes, compilations, collaborations and his most recent self titled album “Vicious”. He has also performed at many well known venues such as: House Of Blues, Viper Room, Knitting Factory, Key Club and Roxy just to name a few.
