Talented!! Thats describes the Virginia native known as Vel. Born JANUARY 9th 1991 in Chesapeake, Virginia, Vel loved music at an early age but only listened to it on tapes, cd's and on the radio. Being from the streets, he had a somewhat advantages on kids his age because when he listened to music about certain things or situations he understood what message they were sending out. Listening to AZ, NAS, BIGGIE, PAC and others Vel was influenced into music, but he was an athelete and only grouped music with football for hype music and motivation. As he got older he got a bigger ear for music from his brother, Rashawn aka D.I.A.B.L.O, a well known talented rapper out of Porsmouth VA, began his carrier as a rapper. With Vel loving and listening to his music, he taught Vel how to mix down songs and vocals, not knowing it would lead to future plans for his little brother. Problems seperated Vel from his brother, which brought Vel to the microphone making songs and diss records for fun that he shared with his peers in school. Vel, looking up to his brother took a step forward and began to make 3 verse songs with hooks on industry beats in his room. Shortly this started to turn heads in his household. Manager, and father of his older brother DEE started to hear Vel's music and asked him to do a song on a custom beat in which Vel did and his carrier just took off from there. Still around, he also helps him with everyday life situations and struggles. Vel speaks the truth in what he writes, the everyday life of an average 17yr old. He is versitile and creative with the work he makes. One Record Executive said that he's the total package. He writes, produces, and still has time for football and maintains a ''A'' on all of his schoolwork. You can catch Vel just about anywhere, such as at local talent shows rocking the mic with his hiphop, club and street music. Vel is currently making music, going to school, playing ball, searching for a major deal to pursue his carrier as a hiphop artist.....
