Who are we? And what does "TRACKWRITERZ" mean? While others define their name,"What We Do will Define Who We Are" We are a team of musicians with a distinct magniloquent sound, with a deliberate ripple effect that is sure to keep you on a bombastic high. Its not just about the track or the producer, it’s not just about the lyrics or the writer. It's about both coming together for one common goal, and that's "A HIT RECORD"!! Hit records weren’t always made. There was growth involved. We all would like to be hot, Right out the box, soon as we notice we got talent. Even a baby had to crawl before he /she walked. The next thing you know you'll look up and before your own eyes you’re standing on your own two feet.
Mark “King” Penn (Producer/Engineer), Born in East Coast Delaware/Philly. I myself knew first hand about what it’s like to crawl before I walked. After moving to Detroit working with up and coming artist and perfecting my craft, I soon produced a remix called "Can You Feel It" performed by Bridgett Grace, a song that soon became a Hit Record Overseas and abroad. Not long after that I co-produced several songs on U.N.V. an R&B group signed to Madonna's label Maverick Recordings through Warner Bro's. With out knowing one another Angelina and Dior was living in their home town Pittsburgh, PA jamming to the sounds of U.N.V. and there Hit Record "Something’s Going On" not knowing they were dancing to the music of a producer who would soon be their partner. Still grinding consistently living between Georgia and LA bangin out joints for local and major artist, I finally met who would soon become my partners; “Dior first, then soon after Angelina”. The chemistry was unheard of, we had become a family almost over night.. While continuing to perfect my Engineering skills, I began to work with Beyonce' & Solange Knowles first single "Feeling You" Feat. Nore and "This Songs for You." Through the years together we have grown in every aspect of life, even went through storms together and also in our own personal lives. We could have easily given up, but the lord had other plans. We all wanted to be great Producers, Song Writers, Artists and Mc's and to provide Artists and Major Record Labels with Music, Hooks Vocal Production and Full Song Hit Records. Remember this from ur boy K.P. Stickin together, growth and believing completely in the Lord, “Anything Can Be Achieved”.
Dior (Singer, Song Writer) living in Pittsburgh, PA growing up with a single mom in the projects, was not the best life, but for me it was. I had no idea of my mom’s struggles, she never made it known to me. When I got old enough to realize I was the last child out of 7 coming out of the nest and having to buy my own sneakers, I knew I wanted something Big out of life, something that could provide a way for me give my mom financial freedom to where she would never have to work again.. At the age of 12 is when realized all my talents. It was when I was standing in front of a piano at the “Christian Temple Church” with the Minister of Music Keith Moncrief. I began singing all over town in different churches and performing in many talent shows; "Winning Of Course" It couldn’t stop there for me. I loved singing for the Lord, but I also had a passion for R&B music. I listened to the best like Luther Vandross, Daryl Coley, Howard Hewitt and Freddy Jackson. My mom recognized my talents and enrolled me in C.A.P.A. “The Creative and Performing Arts High School”. Majoring in Vocal and Minored in Piano. Getting to the next level was always on my mind so I auditioned to be in a group called "After You." One of the members in "After You" who goes by the name of Rock Steady was in the Cross Over Band for singing sensation Kenny Green. He was in a chart topping group named "Intro". Opening up for them and touring the world singing for crowds 10,000 fans and up was a major experience for me. I was the youngest out of the bunch and the least experienced; I didn’t let that stop me. I was the writer behind our entire album. After that whole experience I realized being a solo artist was better for me, so I decided to move to Atlanta, GA to take my career to another level. Atlanta was a different world than Pittsburgh, A job was hard to come by and a place to live, but I didn't let that stop me from performing, receiving standing ovations all over town. Interest began to rise from major label such as Lil John's label, Dream Works, Noon Time and more.
Doors began to open to do songs & writing for Major and local Artists. While I was thinkin I was going to the left, the Lord had me going to the right. I linked up with Angelina and King Penn and we had a chemistry that was Unbelievable. Together we fought and are still fighting to become one of the Greatest Production teams of all times. Who would have known, Angelina and I went to the same Elementary, Middle and High School and we did not know each other and never seen each other before. The Lord still managed to get us together as partners. I was singing in talent shows with the songs “King Penn” produced that was on the radio and had no idea the Lord was going to bring us together as partners, now together we three are "TRACKWRITERZ", He truly works in mysterious ways.
Angelina (Singer, Song Writer, MC) Last but not least, I was also born in Pittsburgh.PA. With out any clue of what the Lord had in stored for me, I wrote my first song at age 12 called "Our Love" with my brother Sean. Music was in my heart and mind from little things I was doing like, being the only girl on my High School drum line. Starting up my own girl group at age 14 and also singing with wet hair in my bed room thinking I was Michael Jackson singing "Man In The Mirror” and Whitney Houston's Hit song "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." You could not tell me I wasn’t the girl singing Make It Last Forever" with Keith Sweat. I thought my career was over when I caught my older brother scratchin on my record player and my little brother dropped it down a flight of stairs. lol!
Life as a teenage mom was very hard. I admit, I made good decisions and bad ones. One of my bad ones was moving from home into a housing project where there were drugs being sold, watchin some friends make a thousand dollars a night became tempting. I wanted to live that life style too. I was very selfish at the time because I should have been thinkin about my child. My parents door was always opened to go back home, but I chose not to. My parents raised us well. I had a wonderful child hood. After waking up and smelling the coffee, and realizing my momma "ain't raise no fool.”, I wanted better for me and my baby. I sold everything in my apt & the food out of my refrigerator to get to Georgia. I refuse to call my mom and tell her times were rough. I wanted to get this music poppin. I wasn’t too proud to stay in a shelter & Sleepin my way to the top was Never an option, and never will be. Ladies, "WE" have to wake up in the morning look in the mirror and be proud of who that women is starring back at us. When you think of yourself worth think "BIG." You Are Somebody. Only the Lord kept me, because after I left, everybody was dead or in jail one week later.
I was in Georgia, met Dior and King Penn. I have grown so much over the years as a Singer, Song Writer and MC. Our Production Team “TRACK WRITERZ” has Triumphed through almost everything that can possibly knock a person down, and when you fall, Look to the Heavens where your help comes from "AND STAND BACK UP STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE"
We as Track Writerz will bring you “Billboard Hits”, with inevitable production that will subside you into a lachrymose Joyous state of mind while listening to a canorous, ebullient and plangent sound that will captivate you and bring you face to face with semidiurnal melodies and Grammy Nominating Music, that will soar you to higher heights in 2008."(TRANSLATION)" WE GONE GET IT CRACKIN, MAKE DIS GWAP, BANG OUT HITS IN YOUR SPEAKAZ, AND TAKE YOU STRAIGHT TO THE TOP IN 2008 YEAH!!!
