Swagg aka Justin Toney has proven his musical talent, and his strategic way of maneuvering his way into the Hip Hop game. After releasing his first single “Hard Liquor” he began gaining a huge buzz in his local community. With intense lyrics, great production and support behind him Swagg transitioned from a rapper into a local celebrity. Gaining support from local artists/ the community Swagg began his rein in the DMV Market.

Justin Toney born in Augusta, Georgia on November 22nd, 1986 is now recognized as “Swagg”. Growing up in a military Swagg began traveling the world at a young age. Father, Walter L. Toney enlisted in the military at a young age in hopes of giving his family a better life. Soon after enlisting in the military he married the love of his life Betty A. Toney, who would less than a year later have Swagg. Five years later they would go on to have there second child Shanice Toney who was later discovered as a musical talent. Participating and placing in may talent shows her voice would soon to become know as one in a million.

At the age of 16 Swagg began writing. In his early rap stages he was known as J-Felony and or J-Tone. Continuous rapping and constantly making music J-Tone began gaining a buzz in school. Kids would not only love and respect his football talents but would later love his musical talents as well. Graduating high school and later moving on to college to pursue his football career, he would later link up with a group called the “Outsiderz” who he would producer for. He produced one of there hottest songs in 2006 named “Rock Wit It”. Constantly writing and working with artists around campus J-Tone became known as one of the best producers on campus. After a year of going to school. Swagg later realized school wasn’t in his best interested. Later deciding to move back home he discovered his musical talents.

Upon coming home his parents were devastated with the decision there young talented son had made. Which was dropping out of college to come home to pursue other opportunities. With his parents turning his back Swagg needed money quick. Turning to the streets to earn the profits needed to conduct the life he always dreamed of things became dangerous quick. After a few bad decisions were made, Swaggs life became endangered. Finally, Swagg began living the honest way by getting a job and immediately began paying off street debts.
