The Future of hip hop is $k. From an early age $k had a love for music, he was inspired by various artist and bands such as; Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isleys, Jay-z, Nas, ECT. His musical journey began in elementary school writing poetry, and being published in the Washington Post. From there he expanded to writing lyrics. Many tiring long days and nights were spent on perfecting his craft and studying the game. In high school $k’s family moved to Atlanta, Georgia and his career as a rap artist began. $k began to work in the studio recording songs until they were perfect. The long hours put into his music started too payed off in the quality. His passion for music grew stronger and $k no longer wanted to limit his talent so he began producing at the age of 18. With the combination of beats and hot lyrics $k is sure to make a strong statement in the Hip Hop industry. His solo mixtape “I Am” released late 08 was an instant classic. $k is currently working on his second solo project entitled “Family Values”.
