Dec. 22, 1980 ,Pedro and Mayra Bobea-DeAza, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Elated with joy, Myra instantly knew that she gave birth to a fighter. Born in the Bronx, Summah and her family were definately familiar with the hardships of a struggling latino family in New York City at that time. The eldest of two girls,Summah would be the one to hear the sound of music at the wide-eyed age of six and choose her destiny. By the time Summah was nine, her family decided to move to florida.There is where her father began to notice his daughters love for music and also encouraged her to sing. Being an experienced tenor himself, singing backup and playing guitar for some of the latin greats, he became the father of a young singing prodigy and later became her singing coach.Teaching her the importance of practice and not smoking. After several years of talent shows and performing on open-mic night at the local clubs,all while still under the legal age to attend these venues,Summah would be eighteen in five months,unaware that she would meet the man that would assist her along her journey to the bigtime.
