Hailing from the Southside of Chicago, S.G. infuses a mix of book and street smarts to grace the rap culture with his raw perspective of the struggles of African-American youth in urban areas. At times seeming torn within himself "spittin hot hustle flows of money, hoes, weed and gin" to uplifting anthems like "We must survive", S.G. walks with a foot in both worlds leaking his Midwest poison to produce a sound like no other. With heavy production from Kenn Mo, S.G.'s solo debut The "Fallen Angel" produced classics such as "Street Dreams" and "P.I.F.(pretty intense flow)". Shortly after S.G. linked up with Bigg Unit(thaintavention) and Mack Mecca & B.Jilla(Killa Klan) and was well on his way but disappeared without a trace. After a 5 year hiatus, the Spectacular Genius has returned. Reuniting with childhood friend Blacknight,Bigg Unit and other well known Chicago emcees and producers, the self proclaimed Tanquerey Kidd is back with the club banger "Absolut
& Tanquerey" and the street anthem "Remaxx". On the eve of the long awaited release of "Return To Greatness", even bigger things are on the horizon for the 6'2 250lb original member of The Gully Clique. When asked about his long layoff, S.G. replied as only S.G. could. "Sometimes you have to mature into your role to accomplish your goal."
