North Carolina artist S. Ruger isn't unfamiliar with the struggle by any means and he want's the world to know it. Every track that Ruger composes along with every lyric articulated, is a picture painted with colors of the pain, hardships, and frustrations of everyday life.

S.Ruger, government name Shaun Robinson, is born and raised out of Greensboro, N.C. But Shaun hasn't always rhymed though. He was a beast on the football field for Dudley High School as well as for North Carolina Central University. After leaving N.C. Central, his older brother Shay, brought him his first keyboard around 2005 and ever since then S. Ruger a.k.a S. Blaw has been on a mission to be heard across the world.

In 2005, S.Ruger teamed up with the Greesboro crew, Enemy Lines and they came out with their first album entitled, Enemy Lines, The Golden Soldiers Compilation Vol.1 (can be found on itunes). The album hit the Billboard Charts at #1 in the new artist category for the first 2 weeks as well as entering the top 100 overall artist charts at #98. Ever since then, Ruger has been on a hiatus recreating him self as an individual artist while developing a fresh and unique sound that has yet to be heard in hip-hop.

His latest, and hit single, "Keep It Gully" is the ripping through the streets with it's melodic hook and bangin' bass line, with fashion cultured references like, "Akademic jeans, air brush tee, and sneakers" shows appealability, as lines such as, " All you n****s thinkin' your Sho Nuff well I'm Lee Roy", referencing Barry Gordy's "The Last Dragon", shows creativity. S. Ruger's style can not be classified because he doesn't have one. It's a combination of soul, up north flow, with a down south bop. In other word's his style is unexplainable.

S. Ruger has been spending the past decade perfecting his craft and now Ruger's ready for the attention. "A goal of mine, honestly, is to be considered one of the dopest lyricists slash producers to ever grab the mic. I've claimed this. When the compilation first came out, we had a good backing but we failed to keep fresh material out there. I feel like I have some fans to regain and I'm looking forward to the response".
