Royal-Tee was born in Charleston, SC as Ade' (pronounced Ah'-Day) Adisa Vanderhorst, which means "Royal Priesthood" in the Nigerian language. The legends that have come before him that inspired and molded him into the artist he is today are: Nas, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS (Boogie Down Productions) and other outstanding lyricists from the 80’s.
