Underground hip hop dosn't sugar coat anything. Most importantly, I appreciate these underdogs for their passion,love,loyalty to hip hop. A lot of people fail to realize that underground music is underground for a reason. These artists are unsigned for a reason. Not because they aren't "good enough" to get signed, mostly because they have no desire to get signed. They stick to what they believe in. Some survive solely on what they bring in at shows and that's ok because they live through hip hop,breath,eat,sleep hip hop music. This is TrunkHustle ..It's about the music,not the money and being in control of your music, merchandise, and image. I've gone to shows that only brought in 20 people for the night, and no one was dissapointed because those 20 people WERE FEELIN THE MUSIC. Eyes closed,head boppin,just being one with the music. That's what it's all about people. The music. Not the cars,girls,clothes,clubs,etc mtv wants you to idolize.
