Nino McFly was born Gabe Salcedo, and was raised in the streets of Washington Heights, next door neighbor to Harlem, New York's "coke capitol." Nino describes it as the city where d-boys are your friends and cops...your worst enemies. He earned the moniker "Nino MCFly" growing up, because of his hustle'n mentality like the infamous Nino Brown and MCFly because of his laid black flow and his undisputable swagger. Nino first began rappin' at 12 but didn't foresee his rap career until the age of 16, when he began Fly Boy Ent. The fly boy's rap style is said to be comparable to Fabolous and Mase. Although a New York native by blood, Nino spent the last 8 years residing in Miami where he spends most of his time in the studio perfecting his flow and mastering his delivery. Not to mention, his witty punch lines that had BET's Big Tigger rewinding the mixtape over and again. If the fly boy isn't grinding it out in the studio, you might catch him on Collins with the Fly Boy Money Gang. Nino was first noticed in 2005 when he entered a Fabolous and DJ Envy contest and won a feature on the "Do the Damn Thing" remix featuring Young Jeezy and Young News. In addition to his own career he also ghost-writes for various rap artists, who will remain anonymous. The mixtape also features "Ice Cream Man" which is featured on Pharell's "Ice Cream Skate Vol. 1" dvd. Though young in age, Nino MCFly is far from a novice in the rap game and continues to leave a lasting impression on hip-hop elites, with accolades from L.A. Reid, The Source and XXL, to Big Tigger, DJ Clue and many other hip-hop impresarios.
