As President Obama said, This is a year for change, and Mindright and Knucklehead are two upcoming rappers who are planning to do just that. Over the years there have been so many aspiring artist who have recreated something that is already out there, but this dynamic duo introduces a distinct sound unheard before bringing the rap community what they have been waiting for. Adrian Jackson and Keith Tate Jr. known to thousands of fans as Mindright & Knucklehead have spent most of their lives residing in Wichita, KS. Meeting in high school the two realized that they had numerous things in common. Although both of their fathers were educated men, they lacked the ability to be good fathers. This left Mindright & Knucklehead, the oldest sons in single mother homes, to endure hardships which many of you can relate to - as the streets became their bread and butter. Even though the two faced challenges that could have easily overcame them they turned the negativity in their lives into this astonishing music. Their unique style may appear to be just a facade, but in reality its a reflection of their personalities. From their see through Bapes and mismatched airbrush socks to their brightly colored Tees and custom cars their charisma shines through. Although the rap scene is very competitive, this flamboyant duo is truly creating more buzz than anyone could have expected from underground artists with no record deal. Mindright & Knucklehead were first introduced to the streets of Wichita as well as surrounding cities musically in 2007. While living at the trap they had quite an eventful year. Trappin for these two was a 24/7 job, until their love for money caught up with them. Despite their tribulations they found the time to create a very rare mix tape, titled, Streetz iz Weightin. Before the mixtape was completed the two of them worked on producing a label. Gucci Mane said sign your self before even thinking about getting signed by a record company so we were focused on creating our own label. With the release of their 2008 debut Trap Talk, Mindright & Knucklehead opened the show for The Battle of the Bands for Multiple Scleroses. Proving that their talent is undisputable the two man team took second place at an all Rock and Metal genre event, where over 20 bands competed.
Even though Still Trappin will only be the second official album - to be released later this year - Mindright & Knuckleheads thirst for fame shines through their infectious word play. Not only do these two individuals relate to the streets, their sex appeal and illusive lyrics in songs such as Mind Gone off the Trap Talk album or Call Me from Still Trappin is captivating the hearts of women all over. Joining the wave of an internet friendly fan base the two have taken full advantage of the new era of communications with over 16,000 plays on myspace alone. Not only have they been making their music available for download, they also send their albums via email, web casting, USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex, making it obtainable to fans in over forty states as well as international countries. Fans are the key to success in the entertainment world, and with an ever growing fan base we are not only hitting the city of Wichita or even the sMindright & Knuckleheads drivetate of Kansas, our stock is on the rise.
will continue to shine in 2009 as they continue to place their mark in the industry. Mindright & Knucklehead will carry on affirming that they are a phenomenon to the rap game long after they have made it to the top.
