Marie -- dynamic yet sweet! Take a big city, such as Dallas, Texas. Mix in a little Pop/R&B/Singer/Model with a “Nawf” (north) Side Swag. Add a dose of Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, & Beyonce’ BUT YET STILL WITH A CLASS OF HER OWN you get a dynamo by the name of “Marie.” Now you asking yourself, what so special about a young lady named Marie? There are a couple of Marie’s in the music industry now. But to listen and see this young lady perform, you will definitely have her on your mind more so than the other Marie’s you are referring to. Hailing from Dallas, Texas Marie Ferow has emerged from her family roots that actually stem from Eritrea, located in East Africa. She transcended her upbringing and fused it with growing up in the South (Texas, that is) and created a blend of old school love with new school swag in her music. She captivated audiences locally since she started performing at the age of 11. Especially, performing for The Eritrean Youth Association (EYA) for community events and programs. In fact, straight out of Berkner High School (Richardson, Texas) she was so focused on her music, she was able to graduate a year earlier than her projected school career to start her music career. When 1st heard by one of her peers, DJ Big Bink (PD, 97.9 The Beat, Dallas) he opt to assist her in furthering her quest in the music industry. “Her energy and thirst to sing, dance and perform is unquenchable,” says Big Bink. “She is non stop and that’s what drives her to be a success in this industry!” Her accomplishments have been several events locally in the Dallas Metroplex including performing for The City of Dallas Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration. “The feeling is indescribable and the more I get into my creativity, the harder it is to leave it. Not that I want to, but I can’t see myself doing anything else but music. It’s an addiction, and it won’t go away,” says Marie about her music. Catch her in and around the Dallas Metroplex and listen for the hit single, “Bubblegum love” and you will know why we can’t wait until we see Marie on her way to the T-O-P!!!
