Marvin Kinard has come from humble beginnings, but from hard work and dedication he has transcended into a future generational legend.
Marvin Kinard was born to Gwendolyn Kinard and Malik Aziz on April 7th, 1983 in the Richard Allen secton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. “Wazir” is what his family and friends fondly call him. Marvin’s Life would be forever changed when he was two years old when the passing of his Mother occurred in 1985.. Marvin would be placed in foster care until he was 15 years old when he returned to Philadelphia to live with his grandmother in Germantown.
Marvin Kinard would get involved in Public Service at the tender age of 16 under the guidance of his father and mentors such as Tumar Alexander and Tracy Hardy. He was a volunteer for the 1999 John Street for Mayor Campaign and then would go on to work on several political campaigns including Both Governor Ed Rendell’s Gubernatorial Campaigns, New Jersey Governor John Corzine’s Campaign, Thom Jackson New Jersey assembly campaign, Cherelle Parkers State representative campaign, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll’s Re-election campaign, Elvin Ross Historical Judicial Campaign, and Most recently Hillary Clinton’s presidential Campaign. Marvin did wake up and realize being a young African American he needed to support US Senator Barak Obama, noting the need for Minorities around the country to finally stand up and be heard.
In the early part of 2007, Marvin moved to New York City wherehe would meet Dominique Howse and his life in Hip-Hop would begin. Dominique is a journalist who would leave an impression on Marvin’s Life unlike anyone he has ever met. Through Dominique Marvin would go on to form relationships with successful music industry individuals including; Animal Steele (Option to Buy LLC), JohnExtra (Executive Producer Drama TV), AL BE BACK (ROBOT Music), and numerous Hip-Hop artists on the brink of stardom. Marvin Kinard would continue his networking and engagement by reaching out to key Music/Fashion Industry individuals such as; J-Hatch( INASIRKL Music Group, IStandard Music Showcase), Skyzoo, Big Lou( Dj Kay Slay’s Streetsweepers), 2ew GunnCiz(YBME/Exponent Entertainment), Devin The Poet, XXL Magazine.
Marvin has reached out to legendary Music Producer 9th Wonder to serve as his life coach and help him to move through the industry with ease. Marvin has also formed relationships with many poets, comedians, fashion editors, models, and music executives.
Even though the two have only met once, Marvin credits President of A&R Rocafella/Def Jam Lenny S for being an inspiration. Marvin is currently working on an Anti-Violence Hip-Hop tour that will feature Dr. Bill Cosby and artists from around the country come together in brother and sisterhood to promote our generation to come together and promote change. Marvin dedicates his life work to Hip-Hop and Pubic Service to form an unstoppable positive machine that will preserve our culture’s reputation and future.
Marvin recently joined the Exponent Entertainment/Exponent Media Connexx team, and is searching, creating opportunities for Talent to be seen, heard, and showcased.
