About Me

Bursting out of her mother's womb in New Bern, North Carolina several years ago but migrating to Virginia, then to Atlanta over a decade ago, music has been in her soul since her creation! Started out singing in church as many. Her first taste of professional success was when she, her mother, and sister formed a Gospel group and sang different places for a few years until the early 90's. In the late 90's she sang back up for Bobby Hinton and the Shades of Blue in the mid & late 90's, which enabled her to create a buzz, that prompted her to go solo seeing that she write ALL her own material! At the beginning of her solo career, she worked religiously with producer/arranger Jayson Martin of JM Productions which produced songs like "If The Loving's Nice", "You Never Miss Your Well", and "This Morning", one of her personal favorites. Since then she's worked with Cool Water Music Group, K-Swab of Onfiya Music Group, Bonecrusher, and Russell "Scrubaby" Moore of Scrubaby Productions who produced her latest singles, "Focus" and "I Used To Be". Also she's featured with hip hop star Spank the Great, singing hooks to hits like, "Freeze" & "Porchtalk" and also featuring in his smash video "Straight Up Hottie". In addition, she's working with DuJuan Hammond (Playtown USA), DeJuan Boyd (Rabbitt Production), Anthony "Blaze" Carson, Blaze Stack Up (Stack Up DJ's) 730 Dipset DJ's, Anthony "Pe$o" Walton, Eric "Most Valuable Mac" Woodley, & CrowtheBest... Em'E loves what she does because this is her passion. She will continue to write, record, & perform and hopefully her music will touch people all over the world!
Her musical influences are Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac, Sade, Tupac Shakur, Dusty Springfield, Phil Collins, Annie Lennox, Jay-Z, Madonna, Phyllis Hyman, Miki Howard, Vanessa Williams, Sam Cooke, Bobby Womack, Shirley Caesar, Clark Sisters, and Kate Bush to name a few!!!
