In 2010, it's all about change for a Virginia rapper named Lil Majer. From the success of his first album The M.A.J.E.R. Effect, Lil Majer decided to return back to the mic two years later and create his follow-up album The Cartune Effect. Throughout the music provided on this album, Lil Majer shares with you his alter ego, The Cartune, and describes his music as more up-tempo and lively than his previous effort. In a recent interview, Lil Majer stated this...

"Yeah, my new material is real crazy on the album. For those of you who checked out my first album; are bound to fall in love with my second! I'd like to describe my new music to be classified as Hip-Pop. I feel that the music I provide is much different than anybody in my city or possibly THE WORLD is doing right now! I feel like I'm bringing back music you heard back in 1999-2004, I'm repeating history, that's the music I was most influenced on so that's the music I'm giving you. The album is much different than my last, on The M.A.J.E.R. Effect, I gave people the opportunity to hear both sides of up-tempo and slower-tempo'd music but on this album I'm only doing up-tempo music, it's an effect. So you can expect to hear more records like my other hit singles "Hat Lean" and "Throw Them Braces Up" that were on my previous album, on this album!"

When asked about why does he feel that he deserves next, Lil Majer stated this...

"I feel like I'm taking a chance and stepping outside the box and daring to be different compared to everyone else. When you listen to the music now, or most upcoming/underground artist all you hear is the same stuff from everybody (their hood/trap, some type of dance song, how much money they got off selling bricks, how many girls they slept wit in one night and etc). But when you listen to me, I feel that I provide more than that. I give you a PG/PG-13 rated song, universal sound, lyrical content, realness and fun all at the same time, and that's why I feel like I stand out compared to most. And not in one record that I've ever recorded have I ever talked about something I don't do or something don't have, last time I checked it was never cool to habitually lie on your record. So yeah I feel I deserve next cause I'm giving you a variety compared to most artist currently!"

By the listening of Lil Majer's brand new album, The Cartune Effect seems to be nothing less than a classic. With tracks such as "Insane" where Lil Majer decides to take a newer approach to Hip-Hop by mixing a variety of different music genre's together while rapping club-heavy, or even tracks such as "Princess" where Lil Majer shows us his more fun and sensitive side to croon over ladies about, Lil Majer provides his listeners with something new everytime.
