Born as Mercedes Walker, the D.C. native rapper is known for her unique deliverance, with the ability to bring back the realness to hip-hop that we’ve all been waiting for. Brought up in the land of go-go music, Lady V has created her own style based on a range of influences compiled of poetry, and artists from different genres that have predisposed her to the rap game like, Scarface, MC Light, Aaliyah, and Tupac. While having a dash of go-go flavor in her music, Lady V still accomplishes to bring a different sound as a young female rapper to the game. Raised with a typical upbringing as a child in D.C., Lady V experienced a good lifestyle along with struggling times. Not letting any obstacles get in her way, Lady V began rapping at the age of 13 years old and since then, has collaborated with several well known D.C artists like Backyard Band, Raheem DeVaughn, Da Committee along with Fugative, and Boxie from New York that has helped pave her path for success. As you hear in Lady V’s voice throughout her lyrics, she has a passion to speak a message always of realness that will touch someone.
