Born Kandé Awa Ali Zouga AMADOU, in Tremblay en France in Paris, France. Kandé started her obsession with the performing arts at the age of 7 with modern-jazz dancing. At the age of 12, Kandé explored her talents vocally with the inspiration of artist Christina Aguilera.
She moved to the U.S at 15 yrs-old where she attended Lincoln Parks High school involved in much, if not all, performing programs such as Cheerleading and Pom-poms, The school Choirs and Church.
She decides to move to New York at the age of 20 to pursue her goal.
Not only taking over NYC with her music and singing, winning 2nd place, at the Apollo's Amateur night. She also started a new path in movies, commercials and modeling where she was featured in projects like Cadillac Records {movie starring Beyonce}, Shows like Gossip Girl, Are we there yet, Starbucks com...

@Big Reed1 someone's always gotta bring race into it...its got nothing to do with black or white. i thought the performance was weird and horrible song choice.
