Ok like I said earlier yes mac is in fact a better product as far as how much it can do but your avg. consumer rarely if ever uses anywhere near any of the features it offers just like a cell phone with a ton of gadgets you rarely if ever use.
so with that said your average person who just write papers surfs the web types resumes and info search a mac is really a waste of money
Now if you lack creativity and wish to feel creative or need the status of flawsing a mac I say more power to you
I'm just pointing out that just because I don't drink the coolaide don't insult consumers with ads
although sometimes they are funny other times they do get boring

here are the facts , mac's are awesome
there ad campaign seem to be wearing thin, and are really insulting to regular people who simply can't afford there products
the I phone is overrated especially considering the restriction on it don't allow you to create anything without voiding your warranty
heres a rule I try to live by
things are tools to be used and hold little value
name brands are highly overrated
If you at this day and age are still buying things because of the name LOL fuck outa here what are you 12
small minds usually use mac and I can tell you rarely move outside of your comfort zone
holla when you can think for yourself and able to form, an opinion mac or jordans or microsoft or porsh or tmz or who ever you pray to

trust me my dude I love Macs but, there ad campaigns are a bit too snarky for the average person
I'll give you and example
People don't like negative ads ask John McCain he's losing because of it
We all can agree that Mac is better but for typical users of a computer the cost is still too high
for casual use
lets also kill this myth that you need a mac if your creative lol
If you are truly creative and wish to edit films or make things and you need a mac
you actually lack creativity
Mac does make it easier though i'll give you that
Now backlash is a bit of a strong word, but it is real when Mac continue as a company to insult consumers who can't afford the product
no other company does that shit!
could you imagine if Coke was 8 dollars and pepsi was a 1 dollar and the commercial said

So when you say Mac does not cost that much you sound really detached from reality
In my circle of friends (writers comedians artist young proffesional) we all saved up to get Macs or at least some of us have
the rest of us have different priorities.

because you never gave any exact numbers
here are the facts
mmmmm If I want a Mac I would have to save up about somewhere around 1500 And thats keeping it as cost efficient as possible memory portabiltity features and style being the last
where as for 300 or 400 I get essential what your average user needs and If I choose to experiment and want to be creative my own initiative can take me as far as I wanna go from there
Look I embrace Mac and all that it has to offer
I like most people just don't wish to be insulted or bullied or mocked into purchasing something essentially that is not a must have. (necessary)
When it comes to the information highway, all anyone needs is access and a imagination
my own imagination
