Hip-Hop, Rap, Soul and a touch of Latin Groove--JustKnowz came about as an alternative to the former artist name Mr J.K. (How he is known in Puerto Rico) After a few years of grindin' in the game, he decided on the the name of JustKnowz. JK has done exclusives for several DJ's around the world with very good feedback from radio audiences. His biggest influences, musically, would have to be the whole 60's through 80's scene. WAR, Jimi Hendrix, Motown, Maze, you name it...that's him. BUT... they (Al Cruz-producer and JK) realized that they had to find a niche for themselves in the rap game. They do what they do WELL---but that was not enough. Therefore they took it back to the roots of latin music and produced a record called "Let It Go" which is a fusion of Dancehall, 80's freestyle, latin percussion and hip-hop followed by the hard-hitting, funked-out street anthem “We Live”.

JUSTKNOWZ - the flows, the pros(e), the style and the music -- soul, latin percussion, funk for the trunk. Hip-Hop that's radio-ready but with a street-edge. Probably one of the hottest performers coming out of Puerto Rico, JK (as known by many in Puerto Rico) has been in the game since 1987, Born in Puerto RIco, raised in Bronx, NY, JK came back to Puerto Rico when he was 13 years of age, and he's represented PR since then. Taking a break from rappin' in English, JK collaborated with a few producers in PR when he was rhyming in Spanish, JK was offered recording deals by Guatauba, Cartel Records (Daddy Yankee's imprint), but due to creative and business differences no agreement was made. Now, JustKnowz with producer Al Cruz and right-hand man Legendario have been imposing their presence as the Boricua Bomb Squad since 1999.

ALL MUSIC - Hip-Hop lead me to Soul (That whole Motown 60's 70's scene) and from there I havent stopped just listening and enjoying all forms of music.

Just read "Revolutionary Suicide" by Huey P. Newton- EXCELLENT READ!!
