About Me
AUTOBIOGRAGHY OF JOSE` PESANTE`

My name is Jose Pesante ‘bka’ “GORDO”. I was born in Bronx Lebanon Hospital to Jose Pesante Sr. and Carmen Deleon in New York, New York. Before the age of 13 I had lived in over 3 New York Burroughs and at least 4 different States. I survived various homeless and battered women’s shelters throughout New York City (including ‘The Martinique Hotel’, Taft Avenue Community Center, Brooklyn Women’s B.W.S, etc.) with my two younger brothers and my mom when my mother involuntarily and violently became a battered woman victim with three young boys in the belly of the beast: The Rotten Apple.
At the age of thirteen we moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut after escaping my father’s violent tendencies. You know they say that wherever you go, there you are… well, not even three months into being in this new city, my younger brother and yanked a bundle of quarters of fish scale from a buckwild Father Panick Village dealer whom we watched pistol-whup a pregnant fiend and rip open the thigh of another one with a .357 Magnum. Our mom caught onto us after finding her ten and eight year olds with inflated pockets of money. With no paternal guidance in our lives, I soon became disillusioned by the streets and the fast money offered by ‘the game’. At the age of 14, I was eventually stabbed in the abdomen by a crack cocaine addict in the hallway of an apartment building. I was arrested several times as a juvenile for weapons and drugs. Prison was so inevitable for me, but first I needed to taste deaths boot soles. Several months prior to serving my first three and a half years (42 months), I was the victim of a drive-by shooting. I was shot over eleven (11) times in various parts of my body. Still got eight slugs and sprinkles of lead chunks to accompany the ten inch rod I recently earned in a car accident. Other assassination attempts in the city of Bridgeport were also survived by me during this, my stubborn stage of life.
Upon being released from my first jail term I was introduced to the selling of heroin and predictably graduated to becoming entangled in the malicious web of drug addiction after extinguishing my curiosity for my own product. After an estimated 21 months of drug abuse and arrests, I was incarcerated for a second time for a period of three more years in the Connecticut Department of Corrections. During these twenty-one months I became the father of two young boys. Both children are ages nine and ten, respectively, and live with their mothers.
I was returned to the Dept. of Corrections to serve out a final term of incarceration after remaining asleep for another twenty one months. It was during this tenure that I decided to really recreate my life. Especially after watching both my younger brothers and several associates walked with their eyes blindly opened into the hands of a Federal Indictment. They were all currently facing Life Terms of Imprisonments for various Racketeering and Organized Crime violations and swallowed between sixty (60) months and five hundred (500) months. It was allegedly discovered that they ran a $20 million dollar drug enterprise in Bridgeport, CT. over a period of ten years. Many vehicles and possessions were confiscated including 3 2007 Cadillac Escalades, 2006-7 Lexus’, homes in Florida and Bridgeport, cash, and weapons, etc. Click here to read more: Bridgeport Boys Busted w/ $20 million Heroine Empire

Coincidentally, this was around the time I discovered my talents as an Urban Fiction, Street Literature Author. I have written over 200 poems, letters, and short stories during my last incarceration. While on the inside, I also took advantage of the opportunity to write my first full length work of Urban Fiction. It was written by hand in under six weeks with approximately seventeen number-two lead pencils.
The title of my first book is inspired by the many true stories I have heard or seen in various cities, boroughs, housing projects, and towns which I have lived in as well as the prisons I’ve resided in. It is called: “Wut Goes ‘Round Comes ‘Round” I’ve gotten great reviews about the story from many readers on the social networking websites ‘MYSPACE’, ‘TAGGED’, ‘FACEBOOK’, and others, as well as locally. My peoples want what I got. My readership extends from each tip of the demographic. Me being Hispanic and well known and photogenic doesn’t hurt at all either. The book is based in my city of Bridgeport and revolves around two Puerto Rican Drug Lords. They are partnered until one decides to call it quits and get out of the game, while the other thrives off of the power he gains via murder and betrayal. A crew of workers and Lieutenants are caught in the middle and one of the Dope Kings main purchasers of Heroin, a badass Dominican chick named ‘Venasia’, steps up to help make the battle field leveled. Her assistance is second to none and when things are real in the field, ‘Venasia’ can be counted on to hold it down.
This is the first in a line of books that I have planned for the Street Literature Genre. I am currently working on two other books: “MR. GLASS DICK” which is about a female crack heads’ perspective with respect to her cocaine addiction, prostitution, and coming out of the ghetto. And the other book already in the works: “I DIED, BUT LIVED THRU IT…” is about my experience being shot twelve times at the age of seventeen while managing a $300,000 dollar a week crack empire. There may be a second part to “WUT GOES ‘ROUND, COMES ‘ROUND” depending on the feedback I receive with respect to the characters and relationships built between them and my readers.”WUT GOES ‘ROUND, COMES ‘ROUND, AND BACK AGAIN”?
Publishing my works is my life’s goal and I intend to become a full time Author for the Urban Fiction, the Hip-Hop culture, and admirers alike.
